Real World Brooklyn

The 21st season of MTVs Real World has begun.

I will try and keep up with the season and have rundowns each week.

I think that this year MTV has tried to go back to their old formula when the show first began with Real World New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, etc, where they took more "real" people who where different and had them look at each others lifes more. The last few season seemed to be just about sex and being drunk.

Lets look first at the cast :

Ryan

"A small-town Pennsylvania boy with a laid-back personality, Ryan has had his share of action. After enlisting in the army at the age of 17, he served in Iraq and got an eyeful. Now 23, he has returned from his duty with a newfound appreciation for life and a better perspective on the world around him, despite having lived through many near-death experiences, as well as the death of a close friend. A class clown who juggles his time between amateur filmmaking, guitar playing and pranking those around him, Ryan is currently in his first-ever relationship. "

I think Ryan is very cute. He is roommates with Chet and there could be a crush going on between the two.

Chet

"Don't let his look fool you: Chet is not your typical punk rock party boy. Despite his tight jeans and affinity for neon clothing, this 23-year-old University of Utah frat boy is one of 10 children in a strict Mormon family. Recently single, Chet's flamboyant style and energetic personality always makes him the life of the party. Still, that doesn't mean he'll compromise his firm beliefs: no alcohol and no premarital sex. Chet won't chug beer with his fraternity brothers, but he'll take care of them when they get drunk, and sometimes that means playing a prank or two. A die-hard Republican, he is not one to shy away from voicing his opinions and standing up for what he believes in. "

It would not surprise me if Chet does not hook up with a castmate (male). He denies that he is gay ,but in the first episode he sure did seem gay to me.

Scott

"Often perceived to be a "musclehead," it is hard to believe that this muscular personal trainer used to be a 90-pound weakling. Still, Scott has more to show off than his award-winning abs. Raised in a broken home in Massachusetts, he started a thriving DJ business that made bank spinning beats for sweet 16 parties. And he is the first in his family to graduate from college. But Scott's ambition didn't stop there, now as an accomplished personal trainer living in New Hampshire, Scott is obsessed with staying fit and breaking into the modeling industry."

Scott has a very hot body and seems like he will be the eye candy for the season. he had very little air time on the first episode, but I am sure that will change. He was the only one who did not think Katelynn was a transsexual.

JD

"Life wasn't always smooth sailing for 22-year-old JD, who was raised by an abusive father unsupportive of his son's homosexuality. When JD's godmother took him to Sea World at age five, he vowed that one day he would become a dolphin trainer. He graduated from the University of Miami, with a degree in marine biology, and at the ripe age of 18 became one of the youngest dolphin trainers in the world. Despite his age, JD is mature beyond his years, which might be why he finds himself attracted to older men. As a bartender at night, he has always worked hard to play hard, but when his overwhelming schedule gets to him, watch out for his fiery Latino temper. "

JD is very cute and seems to be trying to be friends with everyone.

I will give a look at the female cast members next time....

"The Golden Girls" Move From Lifetime

The Hallmark Channel and WE tv have acquired the cable rights to "The Golden Girls" starting in March 2009 in a shared cable deal. This means the sitcom will leave its home at Lifetime Television of 12 years at the end of February 2009. The show has been on Lifetime since March 1, 1997 and was one of the highest rated series in the history of the network.

"The Golden Girls" was the only reason I watched Lifetime. When they leave, so will I. I think it was a very bad decision for Lifetime to let the show go.

Miss Missouri Continental Plus 2009

The Miss Missouri Continental Plus 2009 pageant will be held January 18th.

Two new prelims will be held in the Continental system. Warren Robbins is located outside of Atlanta, Georgia.

The pageant has been move to Saturday January 31st.

Todd From Lifetimes "Blush" Passed Away

Todd Homme, one of the three finalists on Lifetime's reality show Blush: The Search For the Next Great Makeup Artist, was found dead in his NYC apartment on Saturday at the young age of 23. Todd's mother told TVGuide that he went to sleep during the afternoon and never woke up. His boyfriend found him.
Todd's mother also said that the medical examiner is currently investigating the cause of death. Todd didn't have any health issues and there were no drugs, pills or alcohol in his system. They think there might have been problems with his heart.
She said, "It's devastating to us. We're in shock right now. He was born a month and a half early, walked at ten months and never sat down. He was always helping people and everyone calls him a guardian angel and he just loved everybody."

The Miss Chicago IL USofA Pageat ( a preliminary to Miss Illinois USofA) was held on Friday December 12th 2008 at Spin Nightclub in Chicago, Illinois.
